Immedion LLC, a premiere provider of Cloud, data center, and managed IT services, has been selected by Southern Diversified Distributors, Inc. (SDD) as their Cloud solutions provider.

SDD, the Charleston-based parent company of William M. Bird and TransSouth Logistics, chose Immedion because of their strength in Cloud solutions and because of their geographical diversity. With cloud options from Greenville, S.C. to Cincinnati, Ohio, plus a back-up in Asheville, N.C., SDD was able to feel confident that no matter what happens in Charleston, their data would be safe and secure.

“SDD truly relies on our systems to support our clients,” said Robert Donovan, SDD’s Information Security and Information Technology Manager. “If they were to go down, we’d have trouble fulfilling services and most people wouldn’t be able to do their jobs. We needed to know that, no matter what type of weather events happened in our city, our systems would still be up and we’d still be able to fulfill services.”

Immedion will also be providing SDD with managed IT services and the 24/7 support and Always On philosophy for which they are known.
