NAI Charleston announces that Broker/Industrial Specialist Shep Benjamin assisted Flymen Fishing Company in the relocation of its headquarters from Brevard, N.C. to Charleston, S.C. NAI Charleston represented the tenant in the transaction; Pete Harper and Cameron Yost of Lee & Associates represented the landlord.

Flymen Fishing Company uprooted its previous location in North Carolina, now occupying 3,000 square feet of flex space at 1856 Belgrade Avenue in West Ashley. Founded in 2008, the company designs, manufactures, and distributes a portfolio of innovative next-generation fly tying products and fishing flies to customers worldwide through a sales channel of fly-fishing distributors, dealers, outdoor retailers, and commercial fly and lure producers. Flymen Fishing Company’s products have won numerous industry awards in recent years.

This new location at 1856 Belgrade Avenue will also be home to Kona USA, a sister company that distributes the Kona brand range of fishing hooks to the recreational sport fishing market.

“South Carolina’s Lowcountry not only has a strong presence on the map, it has some of the best saltwater fisheries in the country,” said Martin Bawden, CEO of Flymen Fishing Company. “When evaluating the necessary next step to elevate our brands, we were confident that relocating our operations to Charleston was the right strategy. I am thrilled to say that, with Shep Benjamin’s help, we have found a great new home in Charleston and are excited to join this vibrant community.”

“It was a privilege to bring this highly-reputable and innovative company to the Charleston market,” said Benjamin. “We were able to identify an ideal space for them in West Ashley and I look forward to their future growth and success.”
