BLG Logistics, a global leader in third-party logistics services, announced it is locating new operations in Charleston County. Designed to support Mercedes-Benz Vans' production operations, the company's new logistics facility is projected to create 28 jobs.

Providing value-added solutions to a variety of clients, BLG Logistics utilizes innovative technology and global expertise to support the international vehicle assembly supply chain. The company's new Charleston County facility will manage parts and materials inventory for just-in-time and just-in-sequence operations, as well as transportation for Mercedes-Benz Vans by coordinating deliveries of assembled, tested and inspected auto parts.

Located in Suite F at 4279 Crosspoint Drive in Ladson, S.C., BLG Logistics' new operations are expected to come online in July 2018.

"BLG Logistics is excited about continuing our successful growth strategy in North America with the opening of our newest facility in Charleston County, S.C.," said Logistics Director of Sales and Marketing Thomas Burke. "We have a great team in place, led by Director of Operations Paul DeGroot, and eagerly anticipate partnering with great local manufacturers. We have been welcomed with open arms by the Charleston business community and look forward to giving back to the communities in which we work and play."
