MUSC Graduate Nursing Program Ranks Among Nation’s Best

According to the 2019 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Graduate Nursing Program rankings, the College of Nursing surpassed more than 500 nursing schools surveyed to earn the No. 6 ranking on the publication’s 2019 Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs list. The state-funded college ranks No. 6 overall, No. 3 among public universities, and No. 2 for nursing programs for veterans.
With a score of 95 out of 100, the college continues to rank among the nation's top nursing schools for online graduate education as it has held one of the top spots for the past five years.
"Our history of being ranked among the top online graduate nursing education programs is confirmation of the excellence, resourcefulness, and important achievements of our faculty, staff, and students,” said Linda S. Weglicki, Ph.D., dean of the MUSC College of Nursing. “It reflects our faculty dedication to instructional design, educational technology, and best practices, as well as our overall aim to educate and promote outstanding future nurse leaders."
Additionally, the publication's 2018 Best Graduate Schools report ranks the MUSC College of Nursing's DNP (No. 21) and master's (No. 24) programs in the top 25 nursing schools in the country, and both continue to climb since the last ranking in 2016.
The MUSC College of Nursing offers online programs that award DNP, Ph.D., and RN-BSN degrees. The historic 135-year old nursing school also provides an accelerated BSN program with classroom, clinical, and lab components.
