Architectural Record has ranked LS3P number 36 on its annual list of Top 300 Architecture Firms, a jump from number 44 in last year’s rankings. In architecture-only firms, LS3P ranks number 15, up from number 21 last year. The list reflects revenue for architectural design work in 2017.

LS3P’s notable recent South Carolina projects include the new BoomTown headquarters at Pacific Box and Crate, a 60,000 square foot contemporary office space for a real estate software company in a thriving mixed-use development in North Charleston; the Richland Two Institute of Innovation (R2i2), a 215,000 square foot multi-generational learning center in Columbia; and a new 180,000-square-foot facility for the Clemson University College of Business currently in design in Greenville in association with LMN Architects.

LS3P Chairman, President, and CEO Thompson E. Penney is optimistic about the potential for continued steady growth across many of the firm’s diverse markets. “Some of the fastest-growing cities in the nation are in the Southeast region,” he notes. “Changing demographics are spurring growth across our practice areas, from corporate commercial development to higher education to healthcare.”

The firm’s portfolio includes projects at all scales from small renovations to master plans. Designs include additions and renovations, historic preservation, interior upfits, urban infill projects, and new construction.
