Spartina 449 Expands Operations

Spartina 449, an Inc. 5000 fastest-growing company, has announced plans to expand its accounting and operations divisions by locating to a 40,000 square-foot facility in Bluffton, S.C. The expansion will allow the firm to create 15 new jobs.
Established in 2009, the Daufuskie Island-based company offers an upscale women's lifestyle brand, which is influenced by the island's character, combining colorful patterns with inspirational Lowcountry stories. The firm's product portfolio includes handbags, accessories, and jewelry. Spartina 449 products are carried in more than 1,500 specialty retailers nationwide, as well as in the company's eight brand store locations across South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.
Currently employing 79 individuals in Beaufort County, the company is locating to a new facility at 10 Buck Island Road in Bluffton.
