South Carolina Restaurants Honored in Tripadvisor Awards

Four South Carolina restaurants were named in the top 10 in Tripadvisor's annual Travelers' Choice Awards: Best of the Best Restaurants for 2026.

Myrtle Beach's Hook & Barrel placed No. 1 in the Casual Dining category. while Michael Anthony's Cucina Italiana in Hilton Head placed No. 2 in the Fine Dining category for the United States.

In the Hidden Gems category, Magnolias of Charleston was ranked No. 5, while Slightly North of Broad, also in Charleston, placed at No. 7.

And in the category Top 10 Food Tours in the U.S., Charleston French Quarter or Brunch Food Tour with 7+ Tastings ranked No. 3.

Expanding beyond traditional sit-down meals, this year's awards also spotlight the growing appetite for immersive, bookable culinary experiences and social-media-driven discoveries through four new experiential categories

The 2026 Travelers' Choice Awards: Best of the Best Restaurants are part of Tripadvisor's larger Travelers' Choice Awards umbrella, recognizing travelers' favorite destinations and experiences around the world. The Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Awards are determined based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings specific to each subcategory posted on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period, backed by an editorial review process that places winners among the top 1 percent of listings on the platform.
