I am an educator and varsity football coach who is passionate about making a positive impact on students and my community. I currently teach at a Title I school and serve as a varsity football coach at West Ashley. In 2024, I was honored to receive Rookie Teacher of the Year, an accomplishment that affirmed my commitment to helping students succeed both academically and personally. I recently earned my master’s degree in educational leadership from Charleston Southern University and completed the Carolina CAP alternative certification program, earning my professional teaching certificate. My long-term goals are to become a head coach of a varsity football program and eventually serve as a school principal. I want to continue growing as a leader while creating opportunities for students to reach their full potential. To me, giving back means being a positive role model, investing in young people, and using my experiences and leadership to help others succeed. I believe true success is measured by the impact we make on others.

Definition of a Successful Leader: A successful leader is someone who leads by example, earns the trust of others, and brings out the best in the people around them. Leadership is not about having a title or being the loudest person in the room. It is about serving others, holding people accountable, and being willing to make difficult decisions when necessary
Advice to 18-Year-Old Self: Trust the process. You will face setbacks, make mistakes, and experience moments when you question yourself, but those moments will help shape the person you become. Do not be afraid to take opportunities that challenge you or put you outside of your comfort zone. Stay humble, stay disciplined, and surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed. Most importantly, enjoy the journey and understand that success is not always about how fast you reach your goals. Keep showing up, keep learning, and keep moving forward.
