After receiving my M.A. I began my work in urban design and city planning. Prior to graduating, I was a temp at the City of Charleston's Civic Design Center. Then I completed a very short stint in the private sector (wasn't for me) before being offered a job to come back to the City of Charleston as a planner. After which, I was offered a part-time position teaching Geospatial Information Systems to graduate students in Clemson's School of Architecture. I taught for the past year, but I am currently taking time off in preparation for my wedding in October '26 to Laird Bowen. My long-term goals are to keep at it; I've been able to work two incredibly rewarding and impactful jobs early in my career and I intend to keep it up.
