On Feb. 25, 2026, Rep. Weston Newton introduced South Carolina House Joint Resolution 5261 to extend the alcohol server training deadline to May 1, 2026.
The House passed the Joint Resolution on Friday, Feb. 27.
The House Joint Resolution 5261 now goes to the Senate for its consideration.
If passes the Senate, the deadline for servers and managers to complete alcohol server training will be extended from March 2, 2026, to May 1, 2026.
