ADC Engineering has announced that Clay Greene, PE, Fred Guthier, RLA, and Kyle Moody, PE have been appointed vice president of ADC Engineering, offering another generation of leadership that will continue to support ADC’s mission.
ADC officials noted that they each have provided meaningful leadership, a commitment to client and partner relationships, and dedication to ADC’s mission and vision. Their impact on ADC’s culture is significant, underscored by their individual desire to build a stronger team.
ADC’s President Chris Cook, PE states, “I continue to be impressed by the quality of the people that have made ADC their home. Clay, Fred and Kyle are perfect examples of serving clients, creating great work environments and shaping our communities. Our future is bright with these three taking on greater roles in leadership.”
Clay Greene, PE serves as a Civil project manager and vice president of ADC’s Civil Engineering department. A Clemson graduate, he began his career in the Hanahan office in 2007 before opening the Greenville office in 2015. Greene specializes in federal, aviation, and DoD site design as well as educational facilities, roadways and infrastructure, and recreational sites. His work is characterized by a belief in community-driven, functional, and sustainable projects.
Greene has been an integral part of ADC Greenville’s success, never failing in an opportunity to teach others or share his experience or time. Greg Jones, senior vice president of Civil / Aviation Engineering, says, “I am very proud for Clay to represent ADC as a vice president. He ranks among the brightest and hardest working individuals in ADC’s history, and he will continue to be successful.”
Greene’s dedication to ADC, team members, clients, and partners is evident in his leadership, and his hard work is underscored by a deep desire to build the best community possible. Greene enjoys spending time outside with his wife and three children, going boating, hiking, and fishing, and says that being named a vice president is just the next step in serving his clients and community.
Fred Guthier, RLA is graduate of Auburn University, holding a Master in Landscape Architecture and a Master in Community Planning. He serves as a landscape architect and vice president of ADC Engineering’s Landscape Architecture department. Guthier is a founding member of the department, joining ADC in 2003 and building its success alongside his colleagues. In 2015, he brought ADC’s landscape architecture program to the Upstate, offering design that works naturally with the environment. A true believer in walkable, functional, beautiful communities that serve the environment and the people in it, Guthier has been essential in creating some of South Carolina’s most enjoyable playgrounds, parks, athletic fields, and recreation facilities, ensuring with his design that these spaces are accessible to everyone.
Cook feels that “Fred is a truly gifted designer that combines a client-focused approach with an enthusiasm for community improvement. He has an ability to combine these talents with an attention to detail that results in spectacular projects and satisfied clients.”
Guthier is an avid golfer and tennis player who enjoys visiting new restaurants with his wife Nancy. Guthier knew he wanted to be a landscape architect at 16 years old, following an architecture camp at Ball State. He says that becoming a vice president after so many years of hard work is deeply satisfying, and he looks forward to the expanded opportunity to be a good steward of ADC’s mission.
Kyle Moody, PE serves as a Structural project manager and vice president of ADC Engineering’s Structural Engineering department, beginning his career with ADC in the Columbia office in 2007 after finishing post-graduate studies at Clemson University. Moody has a wealth of structural design and project management experience across multiple sectors including commercial, educational, and healthcare. His work is characterized by a desire to provide constructable and efficient structural solutions while maintaining overall architectural vision.
Moody has been an integral part of ADC Columbia’s growth and success. In his new role as vice president, he looks forward to deepening client relationships and fostering a culture of dedication and collaboration across our expanding team. Kyle enjoys hunting, playing golf, and spending time with his family at Edisto Beach or on Lake Murray.
“Kyle is a tremendous engineer, but he is even more skilled as a project and client manager,” remarks Jimmy Jones. “He has been an essential part of the growth of our Structural department, the Columbia office, and ADC as a whole since the first day he joined us. Kyle possesses a rare combination of technical skills, management skills, loyalty, hard work, and dedication. This promotion is a well-deserved next step to acknowledge Kyle’s tremendous contribution to the growth of ADC.”
