Oct 28, 2020 11:29AM ● By David Dykes

MedTrust Holdings, Inc., of Hanahan ranked first on the South Carolina Top 25 Fastest Growing Companies list unveiled Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020, in Columbia.

MedTrust is a mobile health care provider with a business model focused on serving hospital systems throughout the Southeast.

It operates ambulance services 24/7, 365 days a year to become the ‘provider of choice’ in each area it serves.

South Carolina’s Top 25 Fastest Growing Companies competition is the annual ranking of the Palmetto State’s 25 most dynamic and successful companies.

This year’s recipients were honored at a luncheon at the Capital City Club where Jim Newsome, III, president and CEO of the SC Ports Authority was the keynote speaker.

The event recognizes an exceptional and diverse assembly of businesses from across the state among its Top 25 winners.

To be eligible for the SC 25 Fastest Growing Companies Award, a company must be headquartered in South Carolina and be in business for at least three years and show revenues of more than $3 million in the last fiscal year.

The companies are selected using a calculation based on year-over-year growth of revenue and employee headcount over the last three years (2017, 2018 and 2019).

Primary sponsors of the SC 25 Fastest Growing Companies competition are The Capital Corporation, KeenanSuggs|HUB Insurance, and Integrated Media Publishing, publishers of Greenville Business Magazine, Columbia Business Monthly, and Charleston Business Magazine.

Representatives of The Capital Corporation and partner sponsors made virtual visits of nominees to interview key personnel and view company operations.

“We are pleased with the strong nominations this year,” said George Moseley, principal of The Capital Corporation.

“It is an honor to be involved in recognizing the growth of South Carolina’s companies,” said Lori Coon, publisher of Columbia Business Monthly and Greenville Business Magazine and Charleston Business Magazine.

Once all the data was in hand, the selections were made. Winners were notified, but not given their ranking until the awards luncheon.
