Local Bar + Kitchen will open its doors in a soft opening at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, beside the Intracoastal Waterway at Doc Holidays Marina 1525 13th Ave. N., North Myrtle Beach.

Long-time residents and operating partners David and Nina Stebbins will open the new restaurant and entertainment venue. Local Bar + Kitchen will serve a from-scratch menu and specialty drinks while providing a welcoming, laid-back vibe for local residents. It’s a perfect spot to watch the sunset, meet up with friends for happy hour, and relax around the waterfront firepit.

Local Bar + Kitchen can accommodate 410 guests with two bars, patio seating, a waterfront sand area with lounge chairs, and a fire pit, plus transient docking for those arriving by boat. Local on the Water can host any event from birthday parties and showers to small receptions and corporate events in its private event space. In addition, Local has two stages to feature local and national live music acts. An up-to-date list of entertainment will be found on their website and on social media.

The menus are full of crowd-pleasers, including fresh seafood, unique salads, delicious flatbreads, wings, sandwiches, burgers, and hearty entrees. Just a few selections include Hot Crab Dip, Smoked Brisket Nachos, Hawaiian Pineapple Mahi Salad, Shrimp Scampi Flatbread, Mango Habanero Wings, and Buttered Lobster Roll.

The full bar has a long list of refreshing choices, and daily specials offer value for both food and drinks. Happy Hour is 4-7 p.m. Monday-Friday with both food and drink specials.

A weekend-long Grand Opening Celebration is planned for May 4-5, starting with a Kentucky Derby viewing party featuring live music, a radio live remote, games, and giveaways that will benefit the North Myrtle Beach Humane Society. On May 5, celebrate Cinco De Mayo and the opening of Steel Cactus, an outdoor taqueria and cantina bar next to Local, featuring unique street-style tacos and specialty margaritas.
