Charleston Metro Chamber To Relocate To Centralized Office In Park Circle

The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce has announced a relocation from its current facility at 4500 Leeds Avenue in North Charleston to a new building in GARCo Mill Three, LLC in June, 2020.

The Chamber chose this location with their members, volunteer leaders, and staff in mind. This space will offer additional value to their more than 1,600 members that operate in all three counties and provide a centralized place for them to connect, collaborate, and inspire.

"I am tremendously excited about this new location as it is a great fit for the Charleston Metro Chamber. We have members throughout our tri-county region and having this central location is key. It also underscores our efforts to reduce commute times and traffic congestion," says Melonie Hammond-Trace, chairman of the Charleston Metro Chamber Board. "Chamber staff will have the ability to walk to services needed during the work day and it is close to the planned Lowcountry Rapid Transit line, providing an alternate mode of transportation."

Lee & Associates Charleston represented the Chamber in the leasing of the building. The site selection process was led by the Chamber's Building Task Force which included Melonie Hammond-Trace, Tideline CPA Group; Mark Lattanzio, SunTrust Bank; Patrick Bryant, Bidr; Marc Marchant, LS3P; and Bryan Derreberry, Charleston Metro Chamber.

"We are extremely excited the Charleston Metro Chamber chose GARCo Park over many other locations in the Metro area. It further solidifies our belief that North Charleston and, in particular, the Park Circle area is a great office location. It is a true Live/Work/Play environment that we believe fits what many organizations and employees are seeking," said Jay Weaver, president of Weaver Capital Partners.

Construction on the new Chamber headquarters will begin in the spring of 2019 at 4922 O’Hear Avenue and will house the Charleston Metro Chamber on the first and second floor, totaling 12,111 square feet out of the 44,000-square-foot facility in North Charleston’s Park Circle. The Phase III Building will be a wonderful addition to the renovation of the GARCo Mill Building and the Ingevity Office, both of which are already under construction. These three buildings will share a one-acre landscaped park, complimenting the lively community of retail shops, restaurants, and entertainment.

LS3P Associates LTD has been chosen to design the layout of the new Charleston Metro Chamber facility.

“This new location will greatly enhance the Chamber’s ability to serve its membership through its centralized location in our region, ease of access from multiple major highways, available parking, and surrounding amenities," said Marc Marchant, principal and Charleston office leader of LS3P Associates LTD. "The new office integrates best practices for the design of 21st century office work space, and includes both flexible meeting space for the membership and a new boardroom to accommodate large meetings and other events.”
