SCETV Extends Women Of Vision In S.C. Nomination Deadline

Sep 28, 2018 11:20AM ● By Kathleen Maris

At a time when women’s issues are at the forefront nationally, SCETV is embarking on a major new statewide initiative to recognize and profile eight outstanding women in South Carolina. This initiative is closely aligned to, and will launch in accordance with, Women’s History month in March, 2019. Women's History Month celebrates and recognizes the great contributions that women have made to our nation; SCETV will as well.

Women Vision SC is a multi-platform project that encourages public participation through nominations of women on the network’s website - Women Vision SC . Nominations are now being extended through October 2nd.

Finalists will be determined by a distinguished panel of community leaders from around the state.

“SCETV is inviting citizens to get involved through nominating women who have made significant contributions to South Carolina or their local communities,” said Anthony Padgett, president and CEO of SCETV. “We are excited about recognizing women through storytelling, and then retaining those stories for our education portals that reach students across the state.”

The eight finalists will be interviewed and their stories shared on radio, television, and online next spring.
