Frampton Construction Company, LLC, a regional full-service construction firm providing planning and design support, preconstruction, construction services, and sustainability services throughout the Carolinas, has completed construction of a 45,000-square foot manufacturing facility in Horry County, S.C.

The building, owned by developer Agracel, Inc., will serve as the U.S. base of manufacturing operations for Teknoware, a Finland-based firm that develops, manufactures, and supplies interior lighting systems for commercial vehicles and emergency lighting systems for public premises and ships. The facility, which sits on 9.36 acres in the Atlantic Center in Conway, S.C., includes 21,886-square feet of manufacturing space, 19,907-square feet of office space, and two loading docks. A surface parking lot in front of the building can accommodate 61 vehicles.

Mark Keller, director of construction management at Agracel, Inc., commented, “Despite inclement weather conditions at the beginning of the project, the Frampton team was able to deliver the building on schedule and on budget. They are a great team to work with and we look forward to the opportunity to work with them again in the future.”

To complete this design-build project, Frampton partnered with architect Carlisle Associates and civil engineer Thomas & Hutton. The project, which finished in June 2018, was completed in just eight months.
