Sure Trac, an existing Horry County manufacturer of high-quality axles, announced plans to expand its operations. The company is projected to bring $2.5 million of capital investment and create approximately 20 new positions over the next five years.

Founded in 1996, Sure Trac manufactures high-quality axles for a variety of applications, including utility trailers and manufactured homes. Sure Trac also has manufacturing and distribution operations in Loris, S.C. and Hewitt, Texas.

To expand its operations in Horry County, the company will renovate an existing 62,500-square-foot facility off Highway 701 in Loris, S.C.

"Our family began Sure Trac in Horry County, and it has proven to be successful," said Dale Powell of Sure Trac. "When picking the best location for the company to expand, we feel it is still in our hometown. Horry County and the state of South Carolina have shown us that they are supportive of our company and the expansion. We appreciate the assistance of Horry County, South Carolina, the business community and our Sure Trac employees."
