Charleston's Rigging & Marine Hardware, manufacturer and supplier of wire rope, rigging, and safety solutions for a range of industries, is expanding operations in Charleston. This is being done in conjunction with Carolina's Rigging & Marine Hardware, which will be expanding in Charleston.

The company supplies and services manufacturers, construction, maritime, and energy and transportation companies who utilize wire rope, web slings, tie downs, chains, and hoist products. The facility services multiple customers throughout the Southeast.

Charleston's Rigging & Marine Hardware will be expanding into a purpose-built fabrication facility at the former Charleston Navy Base, which will include an expanded showroom and a crane and rigging safety training center. Expected to be operational by the summer of 2018, the new space will create 18 jobs and allow for the launch of new product lines and services.

"In 2018, we will be celebrating our 30th year in business and are laying the groundwork for the next 30 years and beyond," says owner Skip Sawin. "We live and work in a great state that continually does its part to bring manufacturers, jobs, and new businesses to South Carolina. With this commitment and investment in South Carolina, we stand ready to support business growth here in the state and beyond."
