Paul Heinauer, president of Glasspro, recently received the Carl F. Tompkins Award for Excellence, the auto glass industry’s highest honor. The award was presented by Carl Tompkins, Sika national sales manager, on behalf of the Auto Glass Safety Council during the annual Auto Glass Week national convention.

In his award presentation remarks, Tompkins emphasized the need for industry leaders to possess the qualities of perseverance, integrity and commitment to industry excellence. Tompkins added, “Leaders like Paul Heinauer run their companies with four principles: safety in all they do, doing things right the first time, excellent service, and professionalism.”

Debra Levy, AGSC president, said, “Mr. Heinauer has been a staunch advocate for the work of the AGSC for many years.  We appreciate his commitment to the industry and to safety.”

After receiving the award, Heinauer commented, “This wonderful award means so much to me because it was from the industry that I’ve been involved with since 1978.  It’s quite an honor to share it with our company and my family.”
